How to Fill & Refill
Part 1: First Fill
- Draw your leftover paint into the included syringe and fill the empty pen barrel
- Snap the brush tip firmly into the barrel until it locks in place. Push the pen against a hard surface to confirm the brush tip is fully inserted and locked in place
This is important:
i. If the brush tip is not secure, paint can leak out the sides.
ii. If the brush tip is not secure, paint will not flow from the brush tip - Twist the base clockwise to activate and load paint into the brush tip, you’re ready to touch-up.
- Be sure to rinse the brush tip after each use, like a real paint brush, to prevent it from hardening.
Part 2: Refill

- Give the bottom of the pen a hard counter-clockwise twist to start the refill.
a. Note: Give it a hard twist like opening a pickle jar. - Grip the plastic base of the brush tip, not the bristles, with needle-nose pliers and pull it straight out. If it is tightly sealed, wiggle it gently back and forth to loosen first.
- Refill the barrel with your paint using the syringe, same as before.
a. Note: No waste - Snap the brush tip back into place securely and push the pen against a hard surface so it locks in.
- Twist the base clockwise and start painting again.
Part 3: Rinse & Store
When finished:
- Rinse the brush tip under water until paint is removed from the brush tip.
- Cap and store.
